The shutter only takes one photo, not both

Simultaneous dual capture requires an iPhone XS or newer (A12 chip and up). On older devices Twinly falls back to a fast hot-swap: it takes the back photo, briefly switches the lens, then takes the front photo. There is a short delay of less than a second.

I hear the shutter sound, can I mute it?

Twinly suppresses the system shutter sound where iOS permits. In Japan and Korea iOS enforces the sound by law and no app can silence it. Everywhere else, switching the side ring/silent switch to silent is the reliable guarantee.

The orange dot is on while I record. Can I hide it?

No. iOS shows the orange microphone dot the entire time any app uses the microphone. This is an OS-level privacy indicator that no app can hide. Same as Apple Voice Memos, WhatsApp, or any other recording app.

Triple-press the volume button does not capture

The Camera tab must be open and visible for hardware volume events to be delivered to the app. iOS does not deliver them to apps in the background or to a different tab. Also make sure the toggle is on in Camera settings (gear icon, top-right).

How do I delete my data?

Voice memos can be deleted one by one from the Recorder tab. To wipe everything Twinly stored, delete the app from your home screen. There is no cloud copy.
